Familia Sol-Maya are a beautiful family that joined our community for some months. They have a baby up coming in a month. And i give them the yurt to use to get the baby in. Now with Lari (the father) i am building up the yurt together.

We almost got ready including the walls. But bad weather was coming this weekend and we quickly took the whole almost finished yurt down for the storm. Better prepare with good ground pins first.

(older text)
In an exchange of services i have manifested a 5,4m Kyrgyz style Yurt.
They send me, as in the deal, from Scotland, the crown (roof poles and the middle circle) and the canvas they made from a recycled but unused army tent.
Now i am finishing it with building my own walls and door frame.
The Yurt is Kyrgyz style. The woodwork is (estimated 12 years old =no problem in dry climates) comes from region Afganistan and is probably build by the Karakalpak clan in Kirgizian style.
Here is an AMAZING anthropological website that studies the ancient people, there yurts, there art, custom's and even there yurt building ways. (click on the Yurt button)

Working hard on it every day now....
